Jyn-Ting Ying (應琬霆)

Jyn-Ting Ying 應琬霆 (They/Them) is a local queer non-binary Asian-diasporic musical artist whose work primarily focuses on reimagining poetry into cinematic electro-acoustic soundscapes. Building off the concepts explored in their debut album “Black Silk, Living Eyes,” Jyn-Ting’s recent compositional projects, in close collaboration with local poet Kathryn Gwun-Yeen Lennon, highlight Edmonton’s Chinatown through experimental synthesis of community found sounds.
