TRINA MOYLES is an environmental journalist, creative producer, and author of three non-fiction books. Her most recent book, Black Bear: A Story of Siblinghood and Survival, is a finalist for the 2026 Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Non-Fiction, and a Banff Mountain Book Award. Moyles’s journalism has been widely published in Canadian Geographic, The Globe and Mail, The Walrus, and the Narwhal. She grew up in the Peace River country of northwestern Alberta, and today lives in an off-grid yurt in Whitehorse, Yukon.
